Doing it, one step at a time
Put it on the television
Find Smart IPTV in whichever store your set came with and install it. Open it a single time and note down the MAC address on screen, since the following step depends on it and by then you will be standing at a different device entirely. Photographing the screen is easier and safer — a mistyped MAC is far and away the largest cause of failure here.
Send your playlist across
From a phone or a laptop, open siptv.app/mylist. Type that MAC address in precisely, colons and all, drop your M3U link into the URL box, tick Keep online and press Send. The television will appear to do nothing whatsoever at this point, which is expected behaviour and not an indication that anything went wrong.
Restart the app on the television
Close Smart IPTV properly and open it again. Channels and the guide load from the playlist you just sent. If it is still empty, wait a minute and restart once more before concluding anything, because the upload is not always instantaneous.
Keep the link you uploaded
The app holds one playlist and shows you no way to retrieve it later, so if the television is reset you will need the M3U link again. Save it somewhere alongside your other credentials. People generally discover this at the exact moment they are least pleased about it, which is after a firmware update has wiped the set.
Tidy the list before you live with it
The app will show everything in your playlist, which on a television remote is a great deal to scroll through. Hide the groups you will never open and set your favourites. The app is minimal by design, so this organising step matters more here than on richer players.
Activate when the week runs out, and know who is being paid
Seven days are free. After that the application requests a single activation payment for that specific television, taken at siptv.app/activation. That money goes to whoever wrote the application. It is unconnected to what you pay us, we play no part in it and we receive none of it. This is worth stating outright, because two separate charges landing in the same week confuses people without fail.
Judge the app on its own terms
Smart IPTV is not trying to be TiViMate and comparing them is unfair to both. It is a lightweight shell that plays a playlist quickly on hardware with very little to spare. If you want a rich guide, recording and multi-view, this is the wrong app and the television is probably the wrong device. If you want a 2017 Samsung to show live channels without stuttering, it is close to ideal.
When it does not work
The upload went through but the television shows nothing
Give it sixty seconds and restart before concluding it failed. Then verify the MAC was typed precisely, colons included, because a single wrong character despatches your playlist to a television that does not exist and nothing anywhere reports an error for it. Bear in mind too that only one playlist is held at a time, so any second upload displaces the first.
It says the playlist has expired
That refers to the app's stored copy, not your subscription, and the wording is unfortunate. Reinstalling the app or factory-resetting the set clears the stored list, so simply upload the M3U again at siptv.app/mylist against the same MAC address.
The MAC address changed
Some televisions report a different MAC on Wi-Fi than on Ethernet, which quietly breaks a working setup the day someone plugs in a cable. Use whichever connection you intend to keep, then upload against the MAC the app displays on that connection.
Only some channels appear after the upload
The playlist uploaded correctly but was truncated, which happens when the file is very large and the television has little memory. Ask support for an M3U filtered to your country, which reduces it to a fraction of the size and generally resolves this immediately.
The app shows an old playlist after you upload a new one
It caches aggressively. Close the app fully, restart the television rather than merely the app, and open it again. Where a set has genuinely stuck, removing and reinstalling the app clears the stored copy, and your activation for that television is unaffected by the reinstall.

What people ask about the Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
What is the difference between Smart IPTV and SSIPTV?
Two different applications, written by two different people, tackling the same job in almost the same manner — and the near-identical names generate no end of confusion. Smart IPTV works through the MAC upload described here. SSIPTV will accept a link entered on the television itself. Both are compatible with what we issue, so the deciding factor is simply which one your television's store actually carries.
Why is there no username and password?
Because the app stores your playlist against the television rather than against an account. It keeps the app very light, which is the whole point of it on hardware that struggles with heavier players. The trade-off is that the playlist belongs to the set, so replacing the television means uploading again.
Is the activation fee going to you?
No, and we want to be clear about it. That payment goes to the developer of Smart IPTV for a licence on that television. It is entirely separate from what you pay us, we receive none of it, and we would not be able to refund it. IPTV Smarters has no equivalent charge if you would rather avoid it.
What happens if I change my subscription?
A renewal on the same credentials needs nothing done at all. A reissued line means a new M3U link, which must be uploaded again at siptv.app/mylist against the same MAC address. Nothing about the activation you paid the developer changes, and it is not charged twice.
Can I put it on two televisions?
Yes, but each television has its own MAC address, so each needs its own upload and, after the trial, its own activation fee to the developer. That per-set charge is the main reason households with several televisions tend to end up on Smarters instead.
Is there any way to avoid the MAC business entirely?
Use IPTV Smarters instead, which takes an ordinary login on the same Samsung and LG hardware. The trade is weight: Smarters asks more of the television and feels slower on older panels. On a set from 2016 or 2017 the MAC upload is usually the price of a responsive interface, and on a newer one it is not worth the trouble.
