Before you start
- Your personal IPTVNinja M3U link from WhatsApp
- A player that accepts an M3U URL

Doing it, one step at a time
Find the link, and understand what is inside it
It is in your activation message, taking the form http://server:port/get.php with username and password appended as parameters. That last detail deserves a second reading, because your credentials are contained within the link itself. Treat it precisely as you would a password. Whoever holds it holds your subscription, and unlike a password it looks innocuous enough that people paste it into forums without thinking twice.
Give it to your player
In VLC the route is Media, then Open Network Stream. Smart IPTV accepts it at siptv.app/mylist. Kodi requires the IPTV Simple Client along with its M3U URL field. Both TiViMate and Smarters will take one under M3U playlist, though in those two the Xtream login serves you considerably better and there is no good reason to choose this route.
Check it works before configuring anything else
Paste the link into VLC on a computer first. If channels play there, the link is good and any later failure belongs to whichever player you are configuring. If it does not play in VLC, nothing further along the chain will work either, and there is no point setting up a television until that is resolved. Thirty seconds here regularly saves an hour.
Supply the guide separately where required
Certain players want the programme data handed over on its own. What they need is that same server address finishing in xmltv.php, credentials attached, and support will send it over if you ask. The players that require this tend to be the very ones that will not take an Xtream login in the first place, so the two nuisances generally arrive together.
Expect it to be slower, and know why
There are thousands of entries in that file and the simpler players parse every one before displaying anything at all. That is a property of the format rather than a fault. If it is unusably slow, either move to a player that handles categories properly, or ask support for an M3U filtered down to your country.
Keep it, but keep it private
Store the link somewhere retrievable, since it is the fastest way to get a new player working. Do not post it anywhere, do not let it end up in a screenshot, and tell us at once if you think it has escaped — reissuing a line takes a couple of minutes and is far less trouble than the alternative.
Prefer the Xtream login wherever you can
This is worth repeating at the end because people find this page through a search and assume M3U is the intended route. It is not. It is the compatibility option for players that cannot do better. Where your player offers an Xtream Codes login, use that instead: you gain the programme guide, the on-demand library and proper category handling, all of which the playlist route either loses or handles badly.
When it does not work
The list loads very slowly
Thousands of entries being parsed in order. Let it finish before clicking anything, then move to a player that handles categories, such as TiViMate or Smarters. Alternatively ask support for a filtered playlist limited to your country, which cuts the file to a fraction of the size.
Some channels play and others do not
Normal with M3U in simpler players, because there is no fallback logic: a channel whose codec the player cannot handle simply fails silently. Try the HD or SD copy of the same channel. If both fail while other channels work, report that one specifically rather than the whole list.
The link stopped working after a renewal
Occasionally a reissued line carries new credentials, which changes the link even though your account is continuous. Take the current one from the most recent activation message rather than the older chat, and update the players that use it.
The playlist works in VLC but not in Kodi
Kodi needs the IPTV Simple Client enabled and configured before it will do anything with an M3U at all, and it fails quietly when it is not. Check the add-on is enabled, the M3U URL is in its own field rather than pasted into a general search, and that Kodi has been restarted afterwards.
Other apps the same credentials open

What people ask about the M3U playlist
Why do the free M3U lists from GitHub stop working?
They consist of scraped feeds put back online for anyone at all to help themselves to, with the result that thousands of strangers pile onto one source at the same moment. Either the host cuts them off or the thing simply collapses, and it rarely takes more than a few days. No one is answerable when it stops, and the sites handing them around have a long history of carrying malware as well. What you buy is bound to your line and nobody else's, and that is the whole of the difference.
Should I use M3U or the Xtream login?
The Xtream login, wherever your player offers it. It retrieves the guide and on-demand library on its own, handles categories properly and is quicker to enter. M3U exists for the players that cannot do that, and using it by choice in a player that supports both simply gives you a worse experience for no reason.
Can I edit the playlist myself?
You can download it and edit the file, and some people do to build a small personal list. Be aware that any edited copy is a snapshot: channels added or moved at our end will not appear in it. For most people the favourites function inside a decent player achieves the same thing and stays current.
Is the M3U link the same as my subscription?
It is one way of expressing it. The link contains your username and password as parameters, so it carries the same access as the Xtream login does, in a less convenient wrapper. Treat it with the same care you would the password itself, because functionally it is the password.
Why is my playlist so much larger than I expected?
Because it lists every channel on the line, including the ones in languages you will never watch and the multiple bitrates of the popular feeds. That is why simpler players are slow with it. A filtered playlist limited to your country is available on request and is the right answer for VLC and Kodi.
Can I share my playlist with family?
Sharing the link shares the subscription, including the simultaneous stream limit, so a household on a one-stream plan will simply block one another. If several people genuinely need to watch at once, move up a tier rather than passing the link around. Sending it outside the household also puts your line at risk of being reissued.
Does the link expire?
It lasts as long as the line it belongs to. A straightforward renewal keeps the same link working; a reissued line produces a new one. If a playlist stops loading and the subscription is current, take the newest link from your most recent activation message.
